Wondering how to wear culottes in autumn and winter? Here are a few ideas!
For footwear, we highly recommend getting combat boots or other high-top shoes; long boots also work really well with culottes. If you want to add a playful touch to your style, pair your cropped pants with colorful or patterned long socks. Tights or sheer knee-high socks under cropped pants also look lovely, especially in autumn paired with loafers, for example.
Layering and playing with proportions always works. The culotte style is wide and loose through the leg, but there are differences between models. For instance, Helmi culottes are more fitted at the waist and hips compared to Meno culottes. If you like mixing different levels of looseness, pair a more fitted top with a looser bottom, and vice versa.

Here, Helmi culottes are paired with combat boots, the Oiva ribbed shirt, and the Pito jacket. The longer Luotto jacket would also suit this style wonderfully. Helmi pants are super stretchy and fairly fitted at the waist and hips, so a loose kimono jacket over a form-fitting Oiva shirt balances the overall look nicely. An oversized sweater would also make a beautiful top piece.

Pair Meno linen culottes with heeled ankle boots or long boots. Here, the top piece is the Kauno wrap shirt. When the bottom is loose, the waist-accentuating Kauno wrap shirt looks especially flattering.

Meno linen culottes also work great with combat boots. Since the bottom is loose, a more fitted style works well on top—here, we chose the long-sleeved Kiva ribbed shirt in dark green. You could easily add the cotton Pito kimono jacket to this outfit as well.
These same tips work great for our other cropped pant styles too: Bueno, Aava, and Multi.
